    Default VSMON hogging harddrive

For the past week or so, vsmon.exe has been hogging my hard drive. Whenever I open or close a program or do anything like that or start backups, vsmon starts up and ties up my hard drive for 5 - 15 minutes. I have had to stop Zonealarm, and shut down my internet connection (for safety) to get any work done. I have turned off MailSafe (as a different FAQ suggests and turned off on-access scanning in the antivirus part. Right now, it has been 'updating for the past 30 minutes'. I run Zonealarm Internet Security Suite V7.0.337 - latest version on WinXp fully updated. No other antivirus program. Help! Thanks

Try the newest version of ZA. There have been two releases since the one you have.
