Default ZA Internet Security Suite overriding my program prefs

Today ZA Suite 7.0.408.00 popped a warning window that "imesauri.exe" was a dangerous or bad or some such language program and was denying it the ability to start up. A week or so ago ZA did the same thing but only warned me. I set the program to be trusted and to have access to trusted and internet. It appears that ZA overrode my preferences on this. imesauri.exe is part of Spectorpro, a sophisticated (and not cheap) all purpose spyware program that I use to keep tabs on my 14 yr old daughter's PC use. I assume I'm correct because after ZA blocked imesaui I could not open Spectorpro; when I unblocked and unlocked the program from within ZA Spectorpro started right up. Google produces no results for imesauri.exe either.

I'd like to make sure that ZA doesn't do this again. Can anyone tell me if I can configure ZA to permanently ignore the program as I wish?

    Thanks.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Is the smart defense advisor on manual or automatic?

    Hi Hoov
It is set to Automatic. I read the help section there and reset the program to "custom" in security column. I assume that will stop ZA from halting the program in the future? Am I correct? Thanks.

I would set the smart defense advisor to manual, that way you have to approve everything, and you get a chance to change it, or deny it. But then I am a control freek when it comes to my firewall.

Thanks. Me, too, control freak, a bit, especially as to my 14 yr old's PC!
