Default Zone Alarm Free Shell extension

    Hi to everyone!

I'm new with this forum. I like ZoneAlarm, but since I use the free version, antivirus feauture is not available. However, evrey time I right click on an icon, a shell entry like: "scan with Antivirus Zonealarm" appears, but it's disabled.
I don't use ZoneAlarm as antivirus, how can I eliminate this message?

    Operating System: Windows XP SP2
    Software Version: 7.0
    Product Name: ZoneAlarm (Free)

Hmm... last time somebody posted those instructions, some body deleted the post. So instead I will just give some generic instructions.

Open the registry (left click Start, then open the Run and type in regedit and OK).

    Open the registry to here:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

underneath this key will be some mention of the antivirus content from the ZA. Click this key. In the right panel with be a Default. Left click the Default and in the right click use the Modify. Copy the value found under the Value data. Open the Edit in the ToolBar of the Registry. Enter the value copied from under the Value data into the Find (CTRL+F) and click the Find Next. Delete all keys found with this value (including the first entry manually selected).

Please note. If unaware with proper Registry uses and practises, do not attempt. Or get some experienced user to help you. At the very least first set a System Restore Point before doing the registry editing and/or backup the registry. This advise is "use at your own risk".
