I don't normally make a point of checking this, so I don't know how long it's been going on, but once in a while I take a look at the running processes in taskmanager, and vsmon.exe's numbers really jumped out at me because I don't recall seeing this before. It was using over 99,000 k worth of memory. I rebooted the computer and it went back down to about 34,000 k. So now a day and an evening have passed and I just ran an antivirus scan. Vsmon.exe is now up to 101,304 k. Again, I have not noticed these high numbers before and I am wondering what is going on.
I had also noticed yesterday that the firewall blocked access to hs2.zonelabs.com. I have never had this alert before, and my software is set to update manually and always has been.
What on earth is vsmon.exe doing all of a sudden, if it is all of a sudden? Or is this sort of thing normal? The computer is shut down every night. I think I would have noticed a number up in the 90's prior to this. I've been using ZASS since February/07. Would it just be using so much memory if there was a lot of internet browsing going on?
