I have installed version 6.1 of ActivClient Agent and I am using the SCM Micro SCR111 Serial Smart Card Reader on Windows XP Pro (SP2).
I have the latest version of ZoneAlarm Security Suite and the ActivClient Software tells me that no Card Reader is installed, even though I have it showing up fine in the Device Manager.
During Bootup, the Card Reader will be recognized briefly, but then quickly the "NO Reader" status will appear and nothing I do will help it to be recognized.
I am getting "Event ID: 602 SCardSvr" errors in the System Event
Logs and Error 7023 "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework"
I am not sure if this is related, but the goal is to get the Smart Card Reader to work and be recognized by the ActivClient Software.
Is there any reason that ZoneAlarm might interfere with the recognition of the Smart Card Reader?
If so, is there a way to work around it?
