    Peter,
If that does not work... then
Open the Network Connections. Right click the network adapter. In the Support Tab, in the Connection Status area listed is both the IP Address and the Default Gateway address. Enter this IP Address as Trusted in the other PC's ZA as Trusted. Close the windo and close the Network Connections.

Good that will do, if the IP Addresses are accurate.

    Hmm the update wrecked things.
Best to use the previous version and avoid updating the time being.
It seems to be you are not the only one with the latest ZA free release.

Download the previous version from here.

The only interference from the Ad-Aware with the ZA could be the Ad-Watch. If the Ad-Aware is the SE version, then this is not an issue.
There could be conflict with something else - like the antivirus maybe?
The ZA Free version 7 is actually the full installer for the ZAISS version 7. Often the installed antivirus drivers and files will cause issue with the resident antivirus.

This is caused by the windows itself. Usually when this happens on the windows XP, it means some setting else where is wrong or there is a damaged file. I have chased issue this down and it came to about 50 or so common issues and 500 uncommon issues. This is after the standard procedure for the defrag and system file check and a disk check. An almost endless long chase to find the root of the problem.

You could try a system file check and see if the damaged file gets replaced. The alternative, if that does not work, is lots of googling and work to find the problem/solution. Almost easier to reformat and reinstall.

There is not much. Plus the ZA free has not any Technical Support.

You could check the WINDOWS\Internet Logs folder for a LSPConflict file or the TVDEBUG file. This is what Tech Support would go by.

LSP issues are caused by troyans, rogue or dead .dlls, or even conflicting .dlls from other applications, The LSP can be checked in wondows or with other software

You could try resetting the TCP stack and see if that helps. The TCP/IP can be reset in windows or with other software.

You are welcome. The need for sleep and doing PC work don't mix very well.
