    Default Certain Sites get blocked

Every now and then, certain websites are blocked by ZA.
I check my "zones" to make sure the addressess aren't being blocked; then I go through and remove the additions since last I visited the site; and still no luck.
Occasionally if I make the host site
a trusted host site, it will work but only occasionally (10%).
I realized this was happening again recently.
Sites are blocked and I get the immediate "Cannot Diplay Webpage" instead of the waiting around for the search to give up.
Every few weeks this begins to happen to some websites that I visit.
Last night, I went to update the anti-virus and anti-spyware but could not connect until I made a trusted site.
    What causes this to happen?
None of my additions to blocked zones are causing it and I have not changed any settings.
It seems to me that it may be a glitch somewhere in the program.
I would hate to uninstal and then reinstall the program (again), restoring it to its current setings.
That seems to be the only fix in the past.
    What is going on?
Is there something I am missing?

    Welcome to the Forum!

PLEASE try the following, as it will bring back your firewall to the original settings.

Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode.

    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.

    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.

    4.Then empty the Recycle Bin.

    5. Reboot into the normal mode.

How Do I Boot Into Safe Mode?

PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.
