Default Starting up Zone Alarm (Choosing Network)

Im running ZASS

Ive been using ZA for a while now, but recently (just after i did a system restore) EVERY time i load up Zone alarm, it asks me what type of network i want, "Trusted network" ect.

And even if i put it to trusted, i cant acsess my network unless i turn the firewall completely off.
..

I dont know whats wrong, anyone have any ideas?

Operating System:Windows XP Pro
Software Version:
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Make sure your DNS and DHCP server IP's are in your Firewall's Trusted zone. Finding DNS and DCHP servers, etc

1. Go to Run and type in command and hit 'ok', and in the command then type in ipconfig /all then press the enter key. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side. Make sure there is a space between the ipconfig and the /all, and the font is the same (no capitals).
2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall, open the Zones tab, click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted. Add the DNS IP(s) .
3. Click OK and Apply. Then do the same for the DHCP server.
4. The localhost (127.0.0.1) must be listed as Trusted.
5. The Generic Host Process (svchost.exe) as seen in the Zone Alarm's Program's list must have server rights for the Trusted Zone.
Plus it must have both Trusted and Internet Access.

Extra help is found at Guru Hoov site for the DNS/DHCP.

Thanks for the fast reply :]

I did what you said, tho the DHCP and DNS had the same IP, i still added both, and i can acsess my network now, but still when i close and reopen Zone alarm, i have to reselect what protection i want (whether im on a trusted network or not) and then i have to re-enter that information again.

Should i uninstall and reinstall ZASS?
or is there something else that could be done to correct this problem

Thanks :

No reason to uninstall. Just open the ZA open the Firewall panel open the Advanced check the " This computer is a client....." and further down check the "Include networks in the Trusted Zone upon detection". I suppose you are using a wireless connection and the ZA will by default set the wireless connection in the Internet Zone.

Ah.
I think i found the reason why my computer couldnt get on the network now.

in advanced it was on "this computer is not on xxx/xxx network"

but, its not wireless, this is my desktop machine :] but yeah, its not popping up that window when i reload ZA anymore. thanks a bunch for the help :
