Default Zonealarm update seems to have affected MS security.

I updated Zonealarm to version 7.0.470.000 today, and at the end of the download, MS Security Centre told me my Firewall was turned off. (Which was probably normal, as it was being updated).
However, after restarting my PC, I still keep getting the same message, which I find highly annoying, and I know the firewall is turned on.

I would like to know how I can stop this alert, from MS Security Centre I see no option to work Zonealarm, and in Zonealarm itself, everything seems normal and up and running.

    Any suggestions anyone?

    Thank you in advance.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

    Hi!
if it is not a serious corruption of MS center you can simply shutdown ZA (right click tray icon in system tray), wait 2-3 minutes... start again ZA (from programs --> ZA --> etc)

Since XP2 update day before yesterday,

and despite ZA Internet Security Suite update yesterday and three restarts or shutdowns, Windows security suite says there is neither firewall nor antivirus.

I had the same problem with restarts and that, but the excellent advice fax gave me in the first reply solved that.
By the way, thank you for the advice, fax.

The MS update had reset defaults to monitor firewall and anti-virus.
Both had to be set to NOT monitor.
