Default Home Network Trusted if Router Connected to Internet?

This is a simple question, but one I didn't see directly answered.
My home network is connected to the internet.
Do I still place it in the trusted zone?
I did this briefly, and then my computer started to download and upload immediately, although I don't have any idea of what it was transferring.
Also, by placing it in the internet zone, I constantly see logs being written about traffic being blocked regarding 192.168.1.1.
    Is this legitamate traffic?
My router already has a firewall on it.
    Thanks,
    Clarence

    Hi!
ensure that your DNS and DHCP is set to trusted and the firewall zone.

See here how to determine your DNS/DHCP:
    http://zonealarm.donhoover.net/dnsdhcp.html

and how to add them to ZA:
    http://zonealarm.donhoover.net/adding.html

... if you need to share resources with other PC attached to the router than set your LAN as trusted too.

Also ensure you are on the latest version, see here:

    Cheers,
