    Default Cant update AVIRA since ZA installed

    Hi,

    yesterday i installed ZONE ALARM FIREWALL (FREE) and since then I can
    t update AVIRA Anti Virus anymore. As far as I could see, the Software should be allowed to do so, but it just isn
    t. Any ideas ?

    IN most Firewall programs there is a section that list what programs on your computer are Restricted, and/or which have permission to access the Internet..1.) with ZoneAlarm Right Click the ZA Tray Icon, Click "Restore ZA Control Center"now Click Program control, Click Program Tab..Look down the list for Avira and grant it 2 Green check marks for TRUSTED and INTERNET Access..2.) in Firewall Section Make sure Internet Zone Security is set for HIGH, and Trusted Zone Security is set for Medium..3.) in Firewall Section / Zones area.. all listed Numbers should be in the TRUSTED Zone, not Internet Zone..Good Luck..--------------------------------------------------------
