Bit of confusion on my part. Basic setup as follows:
XP Home SP3ZASS 8.0.059Main system box connected via cat 5 cable to Netgear DG834v4 wireless ADSL2+ routerLaptop running Vista with Microsoft firewall and connected to
router via wireless
As both systems are connected to the internet via the router, I have disabled Windows' built-in
Internet Connection Sharing feature.
Now for my question. On
my main system box, which of the 3 options in ZASS' advanced firewall setting should I select - "This computer is not on an ICS/NAT
"This computer is a client of an ICS/NAT gateway running ZoneAlarm Security Suite" or "This computer is an ICS/NAT gateway"?
Obviously the 3rd option doesn't apply in my case but the somewhat ambiguous wording in option 2
causes me confusion. Do they mean the client computer is running ZASS or
that another computer acting as an ICS/NAT gateway is running ZASS?
Rightly or wrongly, I've assumed the former i.e. my computer is running ZASS and is a client of my router which is acting as the ICS/NAT gateway.
Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
