Default ZoneAlarm changes the path for Temporary Internet Files

    HiI
am using the free version of ZoneAlarm V8.0.020.000 with IE7 and Windows XP Home edition with SP3.
I have had to disable ZoneAlarm automatically booting at startup because it
    ignores the path of
    my temporary internet folder
    which is
    K:\Temporary Internet Files
and creates a new folder in K:\Temp\Temporary Internet Files.
It does the same with my Cookie and History folders.
However, this does not happen if I manually start ZoneAlarm after my computer has booted.
All my registry entries correctly show the path as K:\Temporary Internet Files.
How can I stop ZoneAlarm changing the path for these folders?
    Can anyone help

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

Surprised to see the ZA actually handling this well enough under the circumstances.
Considering the ZA was never intended for a K drive and is meant to be installed and using only the C drive.

In the past versions properly editing the registry did make the ZA target the correct/new file/folder location.
Not so sure with the newer version as something maybe be hardcoded (or the reg editing changes did not have the proper file path).

Also check the vsconfig.xml with the notepad.exe and change the file path location for the internet log's new location. There maybe other ZA's .xml needed tobe edited too.

    HiThanks for the reply.
I opened vsconfig.xml and every xml file that I could with find belonging to ZoneAlarm with notepad and I cannot find any reference to a path for temporary internet files in any of these.
    Any other suggestions?

In the paid versions is the path location for the internet logs is listed in the backup.xml.
Editig the backup.xml would probably finalizes the change in the path location, but the backup is not available in the free versions (which you indicated as using).
As I mentioned before it is probably hard coded in some ZA component and the backup editing would probably over ride the hard coded command.
