Default Can you disable UPNP firewall in Zone Alarm Free Version?

    I have a video
surveillance camera that uses UPNP to work with my computer.I'm using the free version of Zone Alarm.
    The computer can't find the
camera if I have ZA on. I need to
disable ZA to allowthe computer to find the camera.
Once it finds it, I can turn ZA back on.
Customer support for the camera system says to disable UPNP firewall in ZA but I can'tfind how to do that or if it's even possible. I don't know what ports that the camera uses
In the paid version I see there are custom settings but the free version doesn't seem to have customsettings.
Can anyone help? Is it possible to allow UPNP in the free version?
    Thanks, Ron

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

Check if the services uPnP and SSDP are running. I suppose they are since you're ok with ZA off.

    Now in ZA:
Make the trusted zone slider at Medium, not high level. That might help the hearing of broadcasts.
Can you add the cam's IP into the trusted zone?
And on the Programs list, make sure Generic host process... (svchost) has 3 green checks from the left in order to include svchost to be trusted server.
    Hope some of this helps.

See Microsoft KB886257 for the gory details of how it works or doesn't

Disclaimer - no such device here, so above is the best guess.

    Thanks for the tips.
    I'll give them a try.
