When uploading a larger file (>50Mb or so) to a site using a web browser upload interface (for instance as at Vimeo.com) my browsing capabilities lock up completely. I can't browse in another tab or in another browser. I can't launch new applications, not even task manager (but as I abort the upload they all launch immediately, so it seems they were just waiting for the upload to stop blocking or whatever).
If I launch Task Manager beforehand I can monitor the processes and I see that one of the Vsmon.exe rapidly go up to 50% CPU activity and sometimes above. The browser hits upwards 20%-30%.
How can I configure ZoneAlarm so that uploading to a trusted site is not sujected to this outgoing hogging of resources and the resulting blocking of browsing capabilities?
(PS. I could understand if it was a download, when a virus-check would be in order, but when uploading...???)
