It is checking every file. How often do you have it scanning?

Once a week is good enough, as long as you leave the scanner turned on in ZA so it can do real time monitoring.

You may also want to consider scheduling the scan to run at night, when the computer is not being used (eg 01h00). This will mean it should not slow down the PC when it
is being used during the day. Then it shouldn't really matter how long the scan takes - even if you have all the advanced
    scanning options on.
