    Default AV not updating

    My AV is not updating!
    Last update was OCT 17.
    Not it does not show a definitions date, although it shows AV
    as on in ZA.I have tried repeatedly to update, to no avail.
    AnitSpyware is updating ok.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Also, if the above does not solve your issue. Are you receiving any error messages in reference to your issue, PLEASE?

    One more possible fix, you mentioned you can update your Anti-Spyware definitions. Try this PLEASE, manual update your definitions by clicking on the update for the Anti-Spyware, once you have done that, PLEASE reboot your computer and see if your Anti-Virus definitions will update?. PLEASE

    This does not work.
    No error messages.

    My last update was OCT 17th.
    There is a red exclamation point and a link to update virus definitions.
    I click it, the system tries to update, and it just goes back to the aforementioned state.

    One of the many symptoms of the problem I reported yesterday is a failure to update.
    ZAV asks after every reboot if I will grant permission for LSASS to communicate with the update process (and then sometimes later if Winservices can communicate also).
    If I say NO it will carry on trying in the background and filling up ZAV's log with error reports.
    If I say YES the PC is doomed sooner or later to lock up.
    Either way, ZAV fails to remember the permission.
    Believe me, I have scoured my system for any trace of malware, upon the hypothesis that some new, cunning Trojan got
    past our defences.
    However, I
    must conclude that: either ZAV conflicts with some exotica on my PC to do with a new network installation; or ZAV's updating process acquired a new bug approximately 10 days ago.

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>I've been Running ZASS 7.1.078.000 for Vista since it was Publicly available.. and on the few occations when the AV./AS Update stops working or Hungup during Update and fails to Complete..The Solution that works for me, is to do a Graceful Shutdown of the Computer (if your ZA Tray Icon has an Up-arrow) then the Shutdown and Reboot may take 20 to 30 Minutes to Reboot..Please wait and let the computer Reboot on it's on.. Do Not press the Power Off Button)When the Computer Boots backup and ZA Loads give it a couple of minutes, because it will problable be checking for Current Updates..Please Post Back with your Feedback..---------------------------------------

    Still does not work.
    ZA support is no help.
    Now the anti spyware is not updating.
    HELP SOMEONE!
