Default System Resources All Belong to ZA

I just installed ZASS (ver 7.0.408). The "scanningprocess.exe" essentially takes over my entire computer (50% + CPU usage) on re-boot or on wake up. From reading posts on this forum, it is clear that this is a problem.
Is there any way to reschedule this scanning process? My biggest problem is that when I wake up at 5:00 in the morning I want my computer resources devoted to ME and my work for the first hour or two of the day. I feel like I am running a computer system for the sole purpose of keeping itself free of viruses. If there was a way to get this process to run earlier or later, that would be helpful.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Welcome to the Forum!

I am very sorry that you are having issues with ZA and hopefully I will be able to help you find a solution.

There is a NEW BETA that was released recently, if you decide to try that, but remember this is ONLY a BETA. Here is the info on it, if you decide to try it.

    ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7.0.448.000 Beta

    Version currently in testing:

PLEASE keep in mind this a BETA VERSION and PLEASE make sure you know exactly what you are doing if you decide to download this BETA. Also, PLEASE make a RESTORE POINT before installing it, just in case something should go wrong and then you can go back again, where your computer worked correctly.

PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.

Thanks for the reply, but has there been any positive report that the NEW BETA addresses this issue? I don't want to become a beta-tester. I have other more pressing uses for my computer.
