    Default Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware Not Updating

When my Zone Alarm goes to automatically update my Anti-Spyware and Anti-Virus, it keeps saying it is updating but hours go by and it still has not finished. It looks as if it freezes up and can never complete the task. I end up having to reboot in order for Zone Alarm to begin working properly. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem and does anyone have a solution for the problem?
I have Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite 7.1
for Windows Vista Home Premium and am using Microsoft IE 7.

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

I have Zone Alarm Securuity Suite 7.1 and use Vista Premium. I have exactly the same problem (intermittently). I have reported this to the Forum and to ZA Technical Support. Nobody has a solution to the the problem just treatment of the symptons. O r they suggest overkill solutions (eg uninstall ZA
and reinstall) that cause a lot of wasted time and effort without making any difference to the underlying problem.
I think that the problem relates to the anti-spyware updates rather than the anti-virus updates and seems to be caused by some corruption to the downloaded file(s) but why and what causes the corruption nobody has been able to answer.
I think that the problem is either to do with the ZA servers or the ZA program itself.
