Default Restricted program still has access to internet

I just downloaded and installed, the new zaSuiteSetup_70_462_000_en.exe.

Each time I load Corel Paint, Suite 12,

the program does an internet check f
for program updates, and erroneously reports that I need an update.
With the previous Zone Alarm, I restricted the program and blocked all columns.
It stopped the program from connecting to the internet.
With the recently downloaded version, I repeated the same restricted status, marked all columns as blocked.
Each time I load the program it checks the internet, the status of updates and offers a download option.
The ZoneAlarm restrictions do not appear to work on the new download.

Please pardon the erroneous entry above:
The corrected, complete entry is here:

Both Corel programs still take access to the internet.
When I load either program, the program contacts the Update Center and searches for updates.
Then, a new screen appears with the available updates to download.

It is a ligitimate corel service, but If it were otherwise, ZoneAlarm is failing to block it's internet access.

    My ZoneAlarm Settings are:

    The problem is solved.
The question is that I do not know why the previous version stopped the program in the first place!
I can understand why the new version did not stop it..
I did a "clean" uninstall/reinstall as per Tech supports instructions.

Because the program list in the newly installed Zone Alarm, I immediately tried the corel program.

I saw that Corel has a separate program for updates.
With the new installation of ZoneAlarm, I could see all of the active programs and when I ran corel, the update program was visible in the Zone Alarm Program list.
The update was granted a III with internet rights.

I used the restricted zone for the Corel AND the update program.
Zone Alarm then blocked internet access.

Before, there were so many programs that I could not see, and did not make a connection with, the seperate programs because I have several programs with "automatic" update functions.
I sent Tech a thank you note and would also like to thank you for your assistance.
    Problem solved.
