    Default Machines become unresponsive due to ZA?

    I have now had 2 machines (win XP) that have become completely unresponsive after some months running ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:7.0.462.000
    Both of these within the past few days.
    On 1 machine I was able to quit out of ZA after boot, and then the machine operated normally (Win XP Home).
    On the other I had to boot to safe mode to remove ZA before the machine would complete a successful boot to the desktop (Win Xp Prof)!
    On both machines I have run Spybot with nothing found...
    Many other machines installed with ZA at the same times are running with no problems.
    What is going on?
