Default Anti-Virus and Spyware Updating Question

    Hi All...
    I just updated to
ZA Suite for Vista a few days ago (7.1.248.000) from a previous version.
Everything seems to be working fine except when ZA does a definition update, the date and time for the last update for the anti-virus updates, but the spyware date and time continues to show the date of 2-14-2008.
I have tried automatic and manual updates.
Is there a way to tell if my definition files are being updated?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You....

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Hi!
You're off by 1 update to antispyware. For AV, please refer to this thread, it's always there and as up to date as is possible

    Thank you for the response.
Does anyone have any idea how to get my spyware to start updating again?
It hasn't updated the definition files since I updated the ZA Main files.
Yet the Anti virus definition files are updating.
    Any suggestions?

I'm having the exact same problem.
I'd read in another section about deleting a specific file in the SYSTEM32/ZONEALARM/UPDATES folder, but with ZA running, it' won't let me! Even if I shut it down, it won't let me delete the file.

    This is maddening!

    hhawley,
I think spyware doesn't come out all the time. And, in recent times, ZA version jumps by 10 points every day I reboot. So I assume 10 points is normal. Perhaps has something to do with funny numbering or time zones or servers, or something like that.
As I said, you're only one version behind by my calculation. No reason to worry.
Have you tried manual update? Does it say you're "up to date" in a little window? Mine does over weekends when no spy upgrade seem to come in.

I've even tried clicking to update manually. It says "Cannot parse XML file (blah-blah-blah)\\ZoneAlarm.xml"

    This is maddening!

Just to let everyone know, my particular problem has been solved by reinstalling the newer version (7.1.248.000) AGAIN.
I reinstalled it as an upgrade and for some reason now my anti virus and spyware are updating correctly.
So I can happily say that with 29 days left on my subscription, I just renewed it.
Thanks to all that replied to my question and I hope this helps if anyone else has the same problem.
