Default Zone Alarm Will Not Update

Hello;I recently bought Zone Alarm for the first time. I have version 7.0.362.000.
Everytime it asks me to update, I go out to the update website, click on the free update button and the update page keeps telling me that I have the wrong URL to type a new address in.
    What's with this?
And why doesn't this software automatically up date like most other Anti Virus?
Had I know it would be this time consuming,
I would not have bought it.
I do not have any other Antivirus on my computer, and I have already taken it out and reinstalled it.Help! And please don't ask me to start another thread, I can't find where in this message board that you do this, and time on line is very limited.

    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Antivirus

I hope someone posts a solution to this problem. The same thing is happening to me each time I boot up. I just down load anti virus three days ago and already this is getting to be very annoying.

apparently the problem is not solved. This morning after I booted up the message appeared after about a half hour. It has an option of reminding you in up to 60 days, but no matter what you chose it will be back after the next time you boot up. If I click on update it takes me to http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/cf..._systemmech_en
Then from this page if I click to update it takes me to a blank page. Any more ideas?

Hi!this is very strange... which version of ZASS are you using? Go to ZA icon near the clock --> about --> copy and paste here.Did you select "clean install"...Probably it is a corrupted install of ZASS or still left overs in the sytstem. Are you running other security tools apart from ZASS, they may block the correct installing of ZASS.I would then try to completely remove ZASS and install back. If you do what suggested below, all core ZA files will be gone (please take note of your license). This way:First, please uninstall ZoneAlarm from your Start -> Programs ->
ZoneAlarm menu if it is present.
    01.) Restart your computer
02.) When you see the screen go black and it starts booting back up keep
tapping the "F8" key (at the top of your keyboard)
03.) This should bring up a menu. Choose Safe Mode off the menu by
using the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight Safe Mode and press
    Enter
04.) If you get a message asking to go to Safe Mode, choose Yes. If you
get a help and support window, close this.
05.) Once you are at the desktop, Click Start, My Computer
06.) Click Tools, Folder Options, View Tab
07.) Place a dot next to "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
08.) Remove the check from "Hide Protected Operating System Files
    (Recommended)"
09.) Choose Yes to the warning
    10.) Click OK
    11.) Double click C:

Note: In the future steps if you do not see any files or folders, please click
the "Show Files" link to view them.

12.) Double Click the Program Files Folder
13.) Right Click the Zone Labs Folder, click Delete, and choose Yes

NOTE: If you cannot delete the entire folder, please open the Zone Labs -
    > ZoneAlarm folder and delete out as many of the files listed here as
    possible.

    14.) Close this window
    15.) Click Start, My Computer
    16.) Double Click the C:
17.) Double Click the Windows Folder (It may also be WinNT)
18.) Right Click the Internet Logs Folder, click Delete, and choose Yes
19.) Double Click the System32 Folder
20.) Right Click the Zone Labs Folder, click Delete, and choose Yes

NOTE: If you cannot delete the entire folder, please open the Zone Labs
folder and delete out as many of the files listed here as possible.

21.) Locate and delete the following files in the System32 folder if they are
    present:

    - vsconfig.xml
    - vsxml.dll
    - vsregexp.dll
    - vsdata.dll
    - vsdata95.vxd
    - vsdatant.sys
    - vsmonapi.dll
    - vspubapi.dll
    - vsinit.dll
    - vsutil.dll
    - vswmi.dll
    - zlcommdb.dll
    - zlcomm.dll
    - z llictbl.dat
    - zpeng24.dll

22.) Clear your Temp Directory per the instructions below.

    - Go to Start -> Run
    - Type %temp% and click OK
    - Select all of these files and delete them

23.) Clear the Prefetch folder per the instructions below.

    - Go to Start -> Run
    - Type Prefetch and click OK
    - Select all of these files and delete them

24.) Remove the following registry entries by going to Start -> Run and
typing in regedit. Use the folders on the left side of the window to navigate
    to the specified directories.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Zone Labs
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\vsmon
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\vsdatant

*Important Advisory: Deleting registry entries incorrectly may cause
serious problems to your operating system, which may necessitate the
need to reinstall it. Please make sure you are able to perform these
deletions correctly before you decide to edit the entries. If you are not
sure, you should seek help from someone who is familiar with editing the
    registry.

For information about how to edit the registry in Windows, from your
desktop, click Start >> Run >> and type regedit. Click on Help >> Help
Topics. Under the Contents tab, click Change Keys and Values (this may
be found under the How to... section).

Also, you should always make a backup of the registry before editing it.
You can find this in the same section of the Help files.

25.) Close this window, then empty your recycle bin.
26.) Restart the computer.27.) Install latest versionAnd DO NOT restore any previous ZA backupin the fresh install.
    Cheers,Fax

Okay, I did this and it does seem to be up to date. However, it asked for my License Key, and I put it in, but it says it's invalid. Bottom line is, I'm not on a 15 day trial because it won't accept my License Key. I triple checked etc. to make sure it was the right one. Now what do I do?

Hi!the procedure above has no influence on your license.... I don't know what has happen probably you have multiple problems on top of the update. Now you need to completely remove ZASS using the clean and rmlicense switch. See here:http://209.34.83.233/noHoldCust542/P...n_install.htmlThis will wipe out any corrupted information about the license in your PC.Please be sure to remove the folders detailed at the end of the document. Also be careful on copy/paste correctly the /clean and /rmlicense switches(one space before and a space between the two commands)If you did the procedure corretly the installer will ask you the license key at install. If you have still problem with the key please contact ZA customer support to check it: www.zonelabs.com/csform Hope this helpsCheers,Fax

I haven't started your recommendations from an earlier post yet because the information you are giving me seems to be for the Security Suite and I am just using the AntiVirus program. Would the procedure be the same? Below is the information on my AntiVirus.
    ZoneAlarm Anti-virus version:7.0.337.000
    TrueVector version:7.0.337.000
    Driver version:7.0.337.000
    Anti-virus engine version:3
