Default ZoneAlarm Pro (purchased version) + Kaspersky

When i installed Kaspersky it told me to uninstall Zonealarm Pro which i did. After i fully installed Kaspersky Anti-virus 7.0 i then went ahead and reinstalled ZoneAlarm Pro and everything seems fine now. If i go into ZoneAlarmPro and look under anti-virus programs it doesn't show any but the two programs seem to be working ok for now.

My question is do you think this could cause a problem ? Maybe conflicting and causing me less security ?

I just paid 50 bucks for ZA Pro and would hate to not be able to use it.

What do you guys think ?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro

    See http://www.zonealarm.com/store/conte...comparison.jsp
for a comparison of the various ZA products.
ZA Pro is firewall plus anti-spyware. It does not contain anti-virus. So it ought to work well with Kaspersky anti-virus.

Kaspersky is pulling a fast one. The ZA Pro or the ZA Antispyware do not conflict with their KAV, yet the kaspersky product presents the "conflict issue" to the user. They would love to sell you their own KIS.

Installing the KAV first and then the ZA Pro is the correct approach.

I used to use their product and often recommended it, but since they use these kind of tactics, I have long uninstalled the KAV and instead use other products.

    Cheers.

The suite actually uses KAV6 as the anti-virus so it's just marketing ploy.
