Thread: Anti-Virus problems

    Default Anti-Virus problems

    About 2 weeks ago the ZoneAlarm program kept turning my anti-virus checking off for no reason. Before that I was having these same problems
    on my Lap Top.

    Anti-spyware and Anti-virus are updated on a regular basis and the dates are normally set the same definition dates.

    When I click on the - "click here to update now and reactivate scanning" selection, the program will update but in order to reactivate the scanning I have to turn the ZoneAlarm program off and than reload it.

    ZoneAlarm is also taking over 8 hrs to do a virus scan that nornally took less than 2 hrs before this.

    Apparently other individuals are having the same problems.

    Does anyone
    have any answers for any of this?

    I have the same problem.
    It seems to happen when ZoneAlarm displays an Alert message (which it always shows 3 every time I start up) and I don't respond within a couple of minutes - i.e. I turn my PC on and then wander off.
    But if I wait for the message and answer them everything is okay.
