    Default Virus Definitions siliently dies

Hello,I have checked other posts about not updating correctly, I have deleted the contents of my update folder and tried it again, in which it silently stops updating after 4 or 5 bars.
I am on dial up and I am sure the file is large, but it shouldn't cause it to stop should it?
Is there a place and procedure I can download the definition file from a high speed connection and bring it home via a thumb drive?
    Thanks,Blair

There is no way to download the update files outside of ZoneAlarm. Make sure you do not have any other security (anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam) products running in the background. Make sure you are running the latest version of ZASS, 4.0.470.000, because they fixed several minor problems in it. You also may want to try booting into Safe Mode with Networking and running ZA. Try doing a manual update and see if it works. With no other extraneous processes running, you should have a much better chance of success.
