Default Hi, would someone be kind enough to help me with a persis...

Hi, would someone be kind enough to help me with
    a persistent problem please?
I'm running ZA Internet Security v7.0.470
on Windows XP SP2 and when I use the context menu in Windows Explorer to scan an individual file by right clicking and selecting "Scan with Zone Alarm Antivirus" Explorer crashes with an error message saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and has to close" and then all the bits about sending the report back to the Mother Ship etc.
    So:
    1. does this happen to anyone else?2. does anyone know of a fix for this please?3. is there another way to scan a single file, for example, after a download?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Cheers,Farnz.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition

    Hi,
I'm using Windows XP Pro SP3/ZASS 7.0.473.00 and I have no problem scanning a filewith
ZA with Windows Explorer.. I also remember doing the same scan when I had ZASS7.0.470
    with
    Windows XP Pro
    SP2
I have no answer to your last two questions...

I would recommend a clean uninstall followed by a reinstall, and I recommend the latest version: 7.0.473.0.

    Download from here:
    http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...473_000_en.exe

Clean uninstall followed by a reinstall

    1) uncheck Overview > Preferences > Load ZoneAlarm Security Suite at startup

    2) Reboot

    3) Install ZoneAlarm; when prompted, choose Clean Install
