Default ZA Suite Anti Virus won't update.

I'm using Win2K Pro. I'm using Zone Alarm Suite trial. I can update the anti spyware, but I can't update the anti virus scanner. It just comes up in the update box that there was an error. Is there any way to fix this? Or is this because I'm just using the trial pack?
Thanks.

Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
Software Version:
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Tips: For first time users of ZoneAlarm - [*][*]

1- have you properly un-installed any previous firewall and/or anti-virus?? = this needs to be done - click here > http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...message.id=154
. Most new pc/laptops come with pre-installed security software, which should be properly un-installed prior to installing any ZoneAlarm firewall product. [ SuperTip: if you have used any free trial/ pre-installed
security software > please be sure to cancel your account -

Thankyou for your response! It has somehow fixed itself up and finally we were able to update it this morning. I would say whatever glitch there was it was with Zone Labs and they have corrected it as we didn't need to do anything at all. We just tried you once more to update and it worked! I am NOT going to look a gift horse in the mouth now! Thanks again!

Default Re: ZA Suite Anti Virus won't update/ need to restart/ reboot

Not so much a glitch - rather you probably needed to 'restart/ or reboot'after the initial install - I've seen this happen a few times before - not unusual.
Hope your trial works out as expected. If you need more info. right click your ZA tray icon > see "Help" = this is your User Guide - has all the most common settings, customizations, troubleshooting, and explanations. And then of course you can come by the forum to look for answers; you can use the 'red search box' at the top of board - to search for past posts - which can answer your questions.
NaiveMelody NYC 6-6-08 - Groovin' - The Rascals
