Default [Solved] Annoying ****SPAM**** inserted to subjecty field of incoming emails > by ISP

Lately I have an intruder on my computer that inserts the text " ****SPAM**** " into the subject field of all incoming email. It does it for all good emails.
This behaviour micks the work of some antispam software but in fact this is done without my wish and without having any anti virus software what so ever. I just have ZA Pro. That is all.
I wonder if anybody has any idea what is doing that.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro

Hi!actually running a system without an antivirus is not really a good idea...The marking of SPAM on messages can actually be the results of a malware infection.Better you get your system check by professional. Please post your Hijackthis log here:

Thank you for your reply.Indeed I am concerned of malware doing this.I have never had any malware in my life. ZA does such a good job that I did not ever need an antivirus. Can you recommand some free antivirus to download to check the computer?

Hi!try the following:www.freedrweb.com(downaload and scan) and
http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html(download the free version, update the definition before scanning) andhttp://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/and install an antivirus/malware scanner on your system. Default Here's another list of anti-virus software

Click here for firewallguide's list of anti-virus software >
http://www.firewallguide.com/anti-virus.htm<hr>Additional thoughts - on most new pc/ laptops they will come with pre-installed security software - trial ware - usually Norton or McAfee or something else (firewall, anti-virus, etc.). If you had either Norton or McAfee on your pc - even if you never used it - it would be advisable to 'properly un-install with a specialized removal tool' - click here for more info &gt; http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...message.id=154Using the Removal Tool does make a difference; and it's pretty easy to use.<hr>Just One, Not Two -- Never use two software firewalls at the same time. Completely uninstall one before installing another. Use the vendor's uninstall utility or if not available, use the Windows XP add/remove software tool in the control panel.<hr>Just One, Not Two -- Never use two anti-virus products at the same time. So I want all of you to know that I have no malware or any virus on my computer.I cerntaily use ZA pro and it is the vey best protection software in the world.I am very curious as to which culprit dares to write the word spam in my incoimg emails. So I tested several computers and all have the same issue ---So I dare say to you that the host of my domain is the culprit. They have spamassasin and others. However, they claim &quot;to never modify any email&quot;hogwosh.....it is them and only them.
