    Default Setting Antivirus exceptions

    I want the Antivirus for the Internet Suite 7.x to not scan a couple folders that I use for backing up my web sites. In the zipped format, it apparently sees something in the ".tar.gz" files as a virus
    that aren't. How can I get it to not scan these folders?

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Hi!you can exclude those files from the 'on demand' scanner from the 'Andvanced Options" of the ZA antivirus/antispyware tab (scan targets).Cheers,Fax

    Thanks!!! :8}
    I never would have looked there. That will get right of those "false positives". I'm learning, slowly, but I am learning how this product works.

    You're welcome!False positives can be reported to ZA to be fixed, so you will not need to exclude anything from the scanning.See malware section on how to report false positives.Cheers,Fax
