    Default won't delete infected files

when I scanned and cleaned one of my computers, the infected files are quarrantined, but not found and deleted. So, the alert window keeps popping up when the 'trojan downloader tries to reinstall itself. This is only slightly less annoying than what the infection itself was doing, once I firewalled it. Isn't this AV program smart enough to find and clean the actual program that is causing my problem. I have latest def updates and latest version of AV. What's up with this ?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Antivirus

Which files are detected and are at issue- please give the file location on the hard drive and the actual name of the file please with the file extension, not the definition name as per the scanner.

P.S.I have additionally taken the step of deleting ALL temp internet files including offline. Why won't ZA give me the option of initially deleting any infected file it finds?

    Hard for me to say.
It could have been a windows file from an update.
Without the actual file name, I can not give a firm answer.

To view the hidden files, use show hidden files option found in windows itself...
