Thread: Command line options for multiscan.exe (anti-virus / anti-spyware)?

    Default Command line options for multiscan.exe (anti-virus / anti-spyware)?

When I run an virus and spyware scan from the ZoneAlarm command panel, I can use the "Advanced Options" button to set options such as scan targets, virus treatment, "Skip if the object is greater than X Mb", spyware detection strength, etc.

Is there a way to set these advanced options when running the antivirus / antispyware scan from the command line?

As far as I've been able to find (with a Google search and searching the ZoneAlarm user forums), the only option for multiscan.exe is the scan target - file, folder or drive.

    Am I missing something?

Should I be using something other than multiscan to do my command-line antivirus / antispyware scans?

OK, thanks for the response, Guru Fax.

I'll do as you suggest and submit an enhancement request.
