Default Virus scan has been running for 12 hours now, and only scanned 150K files

I just installed check point and initial scan has been running over 12 hours.
    It has found 1 infection.
I recently remformatted my drive due to hacking problems.
I have run other programs that did not take near this long.
Is this normal for check point virus scan to take over 12 hours?
Is there any way to tell how much longer this is going to take?

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Hi!if you have many compressed files (zip, rar) it can take a VERY long time sinceZA scannerwill open on-the-fly all compressed objects and scan all elements in it. This is also true for double compressed files.... even more time. The first scan is set to deep, the next scan should be faster since ZA will set itself to 'Normal'.Also ensure that the scanning priority in the advanced options of the ZA antivirus/antispyware tab is set to HIGH.It will improve considerably the speed. You can set it even if the scanning is running.Cheers,Fax
