Recently wrote in about both the virus and spyware buttons becoming grayed out as well as the right click menu option to scan a file and received an answer to uninstall and reinstall which I did and it worked for awhile but has now started up again. Not sure what to look at. Noticed that the graying out occurs when I try to scan a file with the right click menu option. Below is the answer I received.

this means that your ZA is not updating correctly the antivirus/antispyware signature.

The best is to remove ZA with /clean switch and reinstall.

Also note that ZA does not play nice with many other security tools. They may block its correct functioning including updates. For example, spyware doctor, spysweeper, trojan hunter, win patrol, PCtools Threat Fire, Mcafee, Norton, Symantec, Adaware, SpybotS&D, and many others. If you want to troubleshoot issues with ZA please remove these tools (not enough to disable) and install back (if you really need) only after you see your ZASS is working as it should.

Before reinstalling ZA clean your system and registry with ccleaner:

Also try not to cut internet connection while your ZASS is updating the AV/AS definitions.
