Thread: ZA hangs Visual Studio 2005 SP1

Default ZA hangs Visual Studio 2005 SP1

When AntiVirus is on in ZA 8.0.059.000, VS2005 SP1 (devenv.exe) hangs on Save, with 50% of the CPU in use.
When AntiVirus is off VS2005 doesn't hang.
    Suggestions?

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro

Hi!then its not only that filebut also something else... try to add the subfolders and main folders to see if it helps...And reboot the system... to checkIf it does not work combine it with a database reset and (after) ensure all visual studio elements in ZA program control have Super Trusted permission (three green bars)1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after rebootIf all the above fails try to contact the offical ZA technical support at: www.zonealarm.com/tsform Please report back if you find a solution, it can help other users with your same problem.Cheers,Fax

    Didn't help.
When I try www.zonealert.com/tsform, fill in the info and press Submit, I go right back to the now empty form.
Should I disable ZA when I do this?

Hi!no idea... whats the problem there...Still usingIE6? Are you on latest XP SP3?The fact that you can't even submit the ticket is an indication that something else is going on at your system.Try to turn OFF the ZA privacy control (cookies, adblocking and mobile control), before using the form.Cheers,Fax
