The 8.0.298.035 notes say "Enhanced virus protection (including Conficker)."
Does anyone know of any details on this?
It's my understanding that 8.0.298.000
already protects against Conficker (correct?), and that the latest
AV DAT would offer the latest protection, so I'm just wondering what the "enhancements" might entail.
Perhaps better "removal" capabilities if you get the Conficker worm?
Based on the early reports of 8.0.298.035, I'm tentative about installing this new build, so I'm curious just how "critical" this update is, especailly in light of the recent Conficker threat.
Thanks for any feedback on this,
Larry
