    Default Outlook Express Error Messages

    Just got DSL with Qwest
    which comes with
Windows Live which I do not like.
I followed all the instructions to change my e-mail
    default to Outlook Express.
So far, I have been able to send and receive e-mails with Outlook Express, but keep getting error messages, i.e., 0x800CCC0f, 0x800CCC0e.
    Something is not working right.
I called Qwest help and she said it is an anti-virus issue so I am hoping you might be able to help.
I have been working on this for days and not getting any further.
Outlook Express worked fine 9 days ago, so I don't believe it is a problem with the software.
When changing to Outlook Express I did the following:
    Properties, Servers.Income mail:
    pop3.live.comOutgoingmail:
    smtp.live.com
    Outgoing mail:
    My server requires authertication.
    Advanced Properties.Outgoing mail (SMTP)

    25Income mail (POP3

    995
This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    Can you help me?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition

    The problem has been solved!
I really didn't think it was a virus, but Qwest said it was. I did some research and it was mentioned that some security programs can interfer with the changes I was trying to make, but that wasn't the problem.
Anyway no need for a reply to my post.

Fax and Finley, you are trying to embarrass me!
I don't know whether I can expain what happened.
I started out by contacting Qwest to change over to Outlook Express.
The lady had me go thru all the steps to make the change (going to Outlook Express, tools, accounts, mail and so on).
Well, it didn't work, got 2 error messages.
Then I checked out Google for error messages and the workaround for the errors was beyond me so I started all over with Qwest.
The 2nd time I was able to send and receive messages, but
    getting a different
error message - the other 2 errors were gone.
I checked my accounts in mail and there were 2 accts, POP3.... and POP3... (1).
    Called
    Qwest again and
they said to delete the POP3....(1)
    and sure enough it worked.
It took me a week to do all this, but it is working now and I don't have to use Windows Live mail.
If I was computer "smart" I would not have had so much trouble.
    Thank
    you for your interest.
    Zone Alarm forum is great.
