    Default AVG anti virus and Zone alarm Pro

    After some AVG updates ZA prompts me to allow the update feature to log onto the internet.

    I have turned component control off, used super trusted, allow.

    What else can I do to tell ZA pro that it's ok??

    Try going to your ZA Program control > Programs list, right click on the AVG program, select 'remove', and then try to check for updates. When you do, you should get a new ZA program alert; click 'allow' and remember this. There may be more than one AVG application in your list, so do it for all of them. If that does not fix it, you likely have a corrupt ZA database. The solution then would be a rest. You'll lose customizations of all programs, but here is how to rest your database.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4.Reboot into the normal mode.
