Default gereric host process wants to launch programs

I had an alert saying that generic host wants to launch some programs and it was suspicious. Now I am getting a host of alerts saying that Zone alarm has been preventing the launching. Here is some examples .... launching C:\windows\system32\wuauclt.exe, or use another program to gain access to privleged resources. Here is antother...launching C:\windows\msagent\agentsvr.exe or use..... Here is the best one after opening up Microsoft office- ....comunicating with "C:\program files\Norton systemworks\norton antivirus\navw32exe"/officeav"C:\documents and setting\name\application data\microsoft\tmplates\" by opening its process. What is going On? Is it normal for win32 services to comunicate and launch these programs?

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.0

Hi surferdude and welcome to the Forum.Wuauclt.exe is a process managing automatic updates for Windows. This process continuously checks for the latest updates by going online. This process should not be removed if you want to get informed about new updates.agentsvr.exe is an ActiveX control, which is used by multimedia applications, also Windows Update. This program is a non-essential system process and should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems. The navw32.exe process is required for Norton antivirus to function correctly. If this process is stopped Norton anti virus may not be able to detect any viruses entering your system. Consequently your computer will not be protected, so it is best to leave this process running. It's normal for win32 services to comunicate and launch these programs and gereric host process needs them to.So there's nothing wrong with your system. Best regards/Vriendelijke groeten. Gerard Konijn. Tilburg. The Netherlands.
