    Why ZA client is connecting to Akamai???.....

    Because Akamai is a corporation that provides, among other services, global Internet content caching,thus ZoneLabs may use them to host certain content for them,thus your Firewall,made by ZoneLabs wanting to connect to check either for updates and other information it may require to perform a task.

    Akamai Customers include big names like these Yahoo!, AOL Radio, Symantec, Match.com, Google, Microsoft, FedEx, Xerox, iVillage, Apple Computer, Music Television(MTV), the United States Geological Survey, Reuters, Newegg.com, and XM Radio,and many other large companies.

    Even Nero tried to access akamai...but this was blocked by ZA....

    but what could be the reason it try to access paypal....

    What tried accessing Paypal? If its ZoneAlarm,this might be because you store your passwords in the ID Vault.
