    Default After intalling ZA 6.5 I cannot access the program (Dashboard)

    Description of technical Issue=
    I have been using ver 6.1 and been getting the popup notice to get the newer version 6.5 I downloaded, installed over ver 6.1AND clean install, both ways do not give me the ZA icon in the bottom right hand trough so thatI can access the "Dashboard". Trying to accessZA though Start-Programs-ZoneLabs will yield the message: Access denied! My system is Win 2000 Professional. ZA 6.1 worked fine, Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

    Try resetting your database. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4. Reboot into the normal mode.

    Thanks to Sly Fox:

    I tried in safe mode to internet logs folder, however none of the folders you suggested were there, only the files
    Dump Index, GLB1 2nd..., Glb1 2nd.., GLB& 2nd..
    Now I cannot reinstall the old reliable version 6.1.
    Both versions give me the message: Cannot log into true
    vector service...
    I used my installation disk and reinstalled (Repair)
    over the existing systen, also service pack 4. Same
    Result, cannot log into True Vector Service.
