    Default Any fixes for TrueVector error msg?

    Hi there,I'm a new user also and decided to join the forum group to help me troubleshoot or fix the TrueVector problem. After the latestZone Alarm update, we were not able to get into the Internet unless we shut down Zone Alarm. Any advice or suggestions?

    Hi,

    PLEASE try the following fix, if it does not fix the problem, PLEASE post back, Thanks.

    A database reset will fix the problem if Zone Alarm is the problem in the first place. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4. Reboot into the normal mode.

    Thanks Slyfoxfor the info. Already tried the steps you mentioned and I was not able to delete any of the RDB files. Got a message that files being used or something like that. I was not able to uninstall Zone Alarm either because of the "True Vector" issue. I'm not sure what else to try. Any other advice?

    Hi guss,

    Did you try to delete the files in Safe Mode? That is the only way you would be able to remove them.

    Hi SlyFox,I'm sure I was in safe mode because I rebooted my system and selected Safe Mode. Once the computer logged on it showed that it was in thatmode on the four conrners of the screen. But let me try once more. I'll report back any messages I get if I can't get it to work. Will talk to you soon. Thanks Guss.
