I did a quick internet browsing for your question. I found several suggestions at Broad Band Reports. They included the Linksys WRT 549 with the firmware dd-wrt This will allow the router to be functioning as a receiver instead of transmitter. Also wireless bridges were mentioned. The ZyXEL P-330W was also mentioned (something about WISP).None of these made any complete sense since this is really out of my range of knowledge. It may be good to appraoach the Linksys forum for a hardware question such as yours!
Oddly enough the first idea I had was to get an old pentium3 box and equip it with the wifi card and install IPCop (free linux software firewall) and use it's NAT/SPI/DHCP features (plus it has other features as well) and connect the present PC to it via a cable.
