Default ZA Message while running anti-virus scan

XP Home - SP2, Zone Alarm Pro, AVG free.

I upgraded to ZA Pro about a month ago. Now when I run My AVG free scan I get a ZA message twice during scanning. It is as follows -
Zone Alarm security alert - suspicious behavior
AVG basic interface is trying to change your network settings by modifying the file: WINDRVDIR\ETC\HOSTS
    Application - avgwb.dat

When this alert pops up the scanning stops until I opt to accept or deny. I have been selecting deny to err on the side of safety. There is also no box to check to "remember" the option you choose.

Should I continue to select deny or accept what AVG is doing? Thank You - Keith

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.0

Allow,it is normal and safe, since AVG is your Antivirus program it should be allowed full access to all files and folders on your computer in order to scan for virus.AVG is not actually changing anything it is simply opening that file and ZA interprets as a change.
