    Using Windows XP, Zone Alarm Pro, AVG antiVirus

    Error message 'Unable to Open c:\windows\InternetLogs\ZALog.txt' appears every few minutes ...

    The file DOES exist in the referenced location.

    Unable to determine cause.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.5

    Double check that the Internet logs folder and the files within it are not locked or have access restricted.

    If the error stll appears, try booting into Safe Mode, head to C:\Windows\Internet Logs and delete the ZALog.txt file. Rebbot normally and see if the error message appears again.

    Tried twice .. even after cold reboot the file reinstalls .. do not understand why after it
    had been deleted.

    Very strange indeed. It sounds as if ZA still does not have permission. Try uninstalling ZA and then reinstalling it and see if this is happening again. The forum moderator has just posted a set of easier-to-follow instruction for a manual uninstall:
