    Default what is Service.exe

I get an alert from Services.exe. Zone alarm provides no more information than to tell me that it is a server program. I get nervous thinking there is a server program on my computer when, to my knowledge I don't have one.

Does anyone know what this particular one is?

    Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:6.5

    Thanks Jeruselem.

I presume its alright to let it access my machine. I'm a little surprised that Zone Alarm doesn't recognize it. Just out of curiousity, why would something connected with XP be accessing from 2000 Pro?

Services.exe id part of the 2kpro system also it is found on your system here C:\WINNT\system32\services.exe ,this process does not need server rights to the Internet only the trusted zone on your computer.

If you just recently got this alert and before everything was running smoothly I recommend you scan your computer with the TREND HOUSCALL SCANNER it can find out if maybe something has slipped by your defenses.
