Thread: Update Progress problem

    Default Update Progress problem

    Frequently when Zone Alarm does an update (anti-virus and anti-spyware), a message pops up in the update box telling me that "the task encountered an error".
    Unfortunately, I cannot
    close the window and have to re-boot the computer.

    Should I change the configuration
    to manual update?
    This occurs during bootup and may be a problem with another program loading during
    Windows..

    I've never been able to reproduce that error but others have reported that changing to 'manual' as you suggested will fix the problem. So the answer to your question is Yes.
