I recently installed Zone Alarm free download.
I have been receiving the following security alert "The forewall has blocked Internet access to your computer (TCP Port 2869) from "my IP address"[my IP
address] (TCP Port 4170) [TCP Flags:S].
I can understand why I would get messages re blocking access from other computers, but why block access from my own IP address.
Is this related to
- I have Windows XP, and Internet Explorer 6. I have wireless connection DWL G122 and am
using router - DI 524 .
I have problem with one website in particular.
home page, I click on a link, such as
Messsage Boards, but get message "page cannot be displayed", realise my wireless broadband connection has been disconnected.
I repair the connection,
refresh the page, and
get the requested
If I press
another link, or press the back button to
go back to Home page, the same
thing happens, and I have to go through the
same process, to restore my
When I click
on the link from "Home"
page to "Websites",
which are not solely rootsweb's sites,
I have the problem mentioned above, but,
when I eventually enter a link, such as "Cyndi's List, the connection is
Ok, and I can continue to move from one link
to another within this
website, without being disconnected. The
same applies to some other
links, e.g. when I press link for "UK
and Ireland", the connection is
broken. Within this page, I press link for Scotland and connection is
broken, but once I get into one of the Scottish
sites, the connection
remains Ok, as I surf troublefree from one
page to another.
I have never come across this problem with any
other site, and Rootsweb help desk cannot help in this case.
Cannot find anything wrong.
Can only assume therefore, problem is with either Zone Alarm or Router etc.
Desperately need help.
This problem is driving me insane.
