Default "Error Loading Op System" - Error in File srescan.exe

Hi - Installed zonealarm 7.0 last week on dell 2650 laptop running XP Home and was working fine until yesterday. In AM, my desktop changed to blue screen saying Windows shut down due to serious situation & data file "dump" not going on and mentioned error relating to srescan.exe. It counted up to 100% and then Windows booted and it seemed OK. I worked a bit and then shut down. Last night i tried to boot and it went immediately to same blue screen and messages BUT then eventually went to blank screen with message, "Error Loading Operating System." I turned it off and tried to reboot but now it always goes immediately to that Op Sys Error message. I have no system reboot CD. I can get to Setup via F2, but don't know what to do there. Is this serious? I'm fairly versed w/ hardware/software. Can I fix this myself? Please help.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:7.0

That sounds really bad (OK, really really really bad)See if this thread helpshttp://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/b...ssage.id=61495You might need that System Boot CD from Dell so ask Dell anyway for the CD.See if you can get Windows into safe mode and uninstall ZA 7.X from there.
