Default ZoneAlarm Client is trying to access the Internet

I routinely get a "ZoneAlarm Security Alert" which says, "ZoneAlarm Client is trying to access the Internet" and includes the following information:

    Identification: "Unknown, signed"
    Application: "zlclient.exe"
Destination IP: "xx.xx.xx.xxxNS" where the IP address changes

Can anybody tell me what's up with this? Since "SmartDefense Advisor" has no advice, I'm presuming that this is not a typical, routine ZA response so I'm a bit concerned.

Should I "Allow" or "Deny"? Often, when I "Deny", I get another alert which is the same but with a different IP address.

    Signed, Confused in CA

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:7.0

do you have the updates within ZA turned OFF or set to manual? If not this is routine and its just ZA looking for an update whether its for the firewall/Anti-virus/Spyware definitions.

I get this too - surely if this is a Zone Alarm program accessing
the Internet Zone Alarm ought to know what it is and what to do!

the problem with the 7.0 release if a program asks to access the INTERNET the remember this action tab is always checked so if you allowed it once it wont ask again unless you remove the settings in the program control tab.To me its a great annoyance especially since if i unchecked it and deny it access it then just re-asks next time with the same consequences.
